  2. Art for All. With the number of local emerging talent rapidly growing, it seems there couldn’t be a more opportune time to showcase Emirati artists. The Art for All exhibition aims to highlight local artists with an eclectic mix of contemporary work such as painting, mixed media, art installation and photography. There are five contemporary artists featured in this tour including; Alia Lootah, Dana Al Mazrouei, Hamdan Al Shamsi, Maitha Deimthan and Shamsa Al Omaira.

“Between Public and Private” will be exhibiting from 1 October - 2 November 2012.

  3. Cinema 4D. This is just the beginning of my experiments into the world of 3D and 3D animation. I had heard through forums that it could be an addictive hobby, but I had no idea. If you are interested in this area of animation, Grey Scale Gorilla has some really helpful tutorials to get you off on the right foot. Now, back to the Cinema 4D.

  4. Audi Annual Report. Very nice user interface from Hamburg’s Department-M for Audi’s 2010 Annual report. I wouldn’t normally lump the words ‘fun’ and ‘annual report’ in the same sentence but this does lean to the fun side and has a really interesting webcam navigated manual control.

  5. Visual Arabia Mograph. When I was studying design in Kansas City in the early 2000’s, MK12 was budding as motion graphics agency of the midwest. Now over 10 years later I’m excited to see how things have changed and progressed now being world renowned motion graphics company with an iconic style.

  6. More wedding planning! So, we’ve found a venue. I never thought I’d be making mock ups of a wedding setup but here I am. Here’s option 1…

  7. For my upcoming wedding in April my fiancée and I designed and screen printed A4 sheets that doubled as envelopes by using an angular fold.

  13. Neighbourhood typography. Yes, I’ve spent part of my sunday hunting down some of the fabulous forms of local type. From stencil to wood-cut to stained glass to neon to serif & sans, all within about a 10 minute walk.

  14. Sound Demo. This is a quick demo just to show some examples of work that I’ve recorded in the past few years. They range from full acoustic guitar tracks to raw sound effects.
